Terms of use
Reading this while signing up? The page opened in its own browser tab, so your sign-up form is still waiting in the previous tab.
These terms cover your account on the For You Data Hub, the research workbench run by the For You Research Project at QUT. They are about the account itself. If you later choose to share your platform data with the research team, you will see a separate, detailed consent statement at that point, and nothing is shared before you agree to it.
Your account
An account needs an email address, a display name and a password. We use your email only to operate your account: logging in, essential service messages, and (if you opt in) updates about your own data. You can add optional profile details (such as age range, country or occupation) to support the research; they are always voluntary and you can edit or clear them at any time under My stuff → My Profile.
Your data
Account details and profile information are stored securely and are not sold or shared outside the research team. Any platform data you may later share is governed by the participant information and consent statement shown during sharing. You review the contents in your browser first, and you can withdraw a shared collection afterwards.
Acceptable use
Use the Hub for its research purpose. Don't attempt to access other people's data, probe or disrupt the service, or upload files that are not your own personal data export. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
